Hot gas welding process of PP sheet:
1. The hot gas used can be air or an inert gas such as nitrogen (used for oxidative degradation of sensitive materials).
2. Gas and parts must be dry and free from dust and grease.
3. The edges of the parts should be chamfered before welding, otherwise the two parts should form a corner.
4. Clamp both parts in the jig to ensure they are in place.
5. Hot gas welding is usually a manual operation. The welder holds the welding tool with one hand while applying voltage into the weld area with the other.
6. Welding quality largely depends on the welder's skills. Welding speed and quality can be improved by increasing the control of welding pressure.
